Insurance
All participants should prepare travel insurance for the duration of their stay. The ASI does not cover any expenses connected with accidents.
Visa
Foreigners entering the Republic of Bulgaria should have valid passports whose validity expire at least 3 months after the intended date of departure. Bulgaria has a visa-free agreement with many NATO countries and NATO Partner countries (please check the list here) or on the web page of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry (https://www.mfa.bg/en/services-travel/consular-services/travel-bulgaria/visa-bulgaria) Participants, who require a visa, should contact the Bulgarian Embassy or Consular Office in their countries well in advance before the ASI. The ASI will not reimburse any expenses connected with the visa issue. For a letter of invitation for your application for visa, please contact Prof. Plamen Petkov, Director of the ASI.
